Variable Definition

Weight-for-length/height z-score. This measure reflects body weight in proportion to attained growth in length or height. This measure can be used to identify is children with low weight-for-height who may be wasted or severely wasted as well as identify children with high weight-for-length/height who may be at risk of becoming overweight or obese. This measure is available and recommended for children aged 0-60 months. It is not calculated for children aged 5-17.
