Variable Definition
PM2.5 average monthly concentration from landscape fire smoke (wildfire). This is the arithmetic mean of PM2.5 measurements for all grid cells where the centroid falls within the defined boundary and for all days within the calendar month. This is a measure of overall PM2.5 from wildfires within the defined level of data. (PM2.5 – particulate matter with less 2.5 µm of diameter)
