Variable Definition
A survey participant is classified as having diabetes (diabetes mellitus or gestational diabetes) if they report having been told by a physician or health care provider that they have diabetes or high blood sugar levels, including women who report that this diagnosis was made during pregnancy. This is referred to as Diabetes V2.
