Variable Definition

True negative rate is defined as probability that non-urban HSR pixels are classified as non-urban in GUF (the dataset used to derive the cross-sectional urban patch metrics). The measure was computed using the 2015 data. The true negative rate varies from 0 to 100. Missing values occurred for units that did not have negatives, false positives, true positives, or true negatives (because of missing data, for example) and which had zeroes in the nominator or denominator when computing the rates. Interpretation: Higher values mean greater agreement between HSR and GUF regarding non-urban pixels.
