Variable Definition
Total area (in hectares) of grid cells classified as greenspace inside the geographic boundary. Greenspace excludes water bodies and limited no observation areas in remote sensing images (due to cloud and shadow). This variable is calculated for L1UX and L3 using a 2017 greenspace map at 10 m resolution. Due to the large size of L1AD and L2, this variable is calculated using the same greenspace map resampled to 30 m resolution. A higher value indicates more green area.
