Variable Definition

Measures the subway length per capita. The mass rapid transit, also known as heavy rail, metro or subway, is a type of high-capacity public transport. The subway systems are compounds of electrical railways that operate on an exclusive right-of-way which is often separated in tunnels or elevated railways. Interpretation: It is calculated as the ratio between subway system length and population unadjusted. A unit with higher values of supply of subway indicates the presence of a system with greater capacity for attention to the population. Year of data: December 2017
